Hp: 305/ torque:495 lb-ft The Silverado's available V8 and diesel engines offer significantly more hp and torque than the Colorado's standard engine, making for easier acceleration, merging, and towing. A powerful and efficient diesel engine doesn’t come cheap, though. Neither does a V8. So, if you don’t need all the capabilities and oomph of the Silverado’s top engine options, then the Colorado’s I-4 might be just right for you. Bed sizes Bed sizes are important to truck drivers, too — especially those who frequently haul the same types of items, like wood planks or kayaks. The Colorado has one bed size, and it’s 5.2 feet.
